Almirall Offices – Sant Feliu de Llobregat
We have completed the interior design project for the new Almirall offices in Sant Feliu de Llobregat, covering an area of 3,100 m². The main focus of this project is the continuation and consolidation of the ‘Flexible Work Place’ (FWP) concept, which aims to promote collaboration, versatility, and employee well-being through spatial design.
One of the main achievements of the project is the enhancement of elements that maximise natural light:
- Patios: The existing patios, which previously went unnoticed, have been transformed into key elements. We have reintroduced plants and integrated specific furniture to turn them into functional areas that maximise natural light, creating a healthier work environment connected to the outside.
- Use of Skylights: Despite the renovation of the false ceiling, efforts have been made to actively maintain and enhance the existing overhead natural light. To this end, methacrylate panels have been installed in the original positions of the skylights, ensuring the capture and distribution of natural light throughout the entire office area, a key factor for visual comfort.
Maintaining aesthetic coherence with the corporate image of other Almirall buildings, we have introduced new elements as well as high-value functional spaces:
- Auditorium: A main auditorium has been designed that incorporates a movable partition, whereby the space can be divided to create a smaller auditorium and two independent training rooms.
- Flexible Training Rooms: These rooms adjacent to the auditorium feature flexible furniture, so the space can quickly be adapted to different uses.
- Executive Meeting Room: Next to the auditorium, there is a large room reserved for exclusive use. Its design incorporates flexible furniture combined with elegance, for high-level meetings that require different spatial layouts.
The success of the project lies in a rigorous design process that has integrated technical, acoustic, and lighting considerations. Special emphasis has been placed on acoustic comfort and lighting optimisation to ensure an outcome that meets the highest standards and demands of the client Almirall.
