Criteo – Barcelona

For the renovation of Criteo’s Barcelona headquarters, Areazero 2.0 was responsible for the detailed design, the development and adaptation of materials and construction solutions, and the full execution of the works, based on the design concept and visual identity developed by Facilitate Corp.

The project combines open-plan workspaces with meeting rooms, phone booths, and areas designed for interaction and collaboration. A sequence of environments where curved geometries, lighting, wood, greenery, and a warm colour palette create continuity and give the entire space a distinctive identity.

One of the main challenges was translating the design language into a built reality: developing every detail, adapting materials, creating bespoke solutions, and coordinating architecture, building services, lighting, and furniture to achieve a result that is both aesthetically coherent and highly functional.

The combination of exposed building services with warmer elements creates an interesting balance between the technical character of the workspace and a welcoming atmosphere. Coffee and dining areas, informal spaces, focus areas, and different types of workstations come together to create an office designed to support different ways of working, meeting, and connecting.

For Areazero, this project reflects our approach to Design & Build: taking a design from its technical development through to its final execution, ensuring that concept, materiality, detail, and construction all speak the same language.
